Working out 5 days a week, starting an entertainment company and attending college may seem like a hassle for most teen girls, but not if your Jazmine Shine. Shine is currently a sophomore attending Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in business marketing with a minor in theatre. She manages a time consuming schedule full of academics and extracurricular activities. "I believe education and literacy is very important…I believe education drives the world and without it there would be no improvements in society.”

Shine has the aspiration to advance academically in the near future by applying to law school, in hopes of becoming an entertainment lawyer. Luckily, she has a solid background along with a mother who supports her dreams, Shine quotes, “My mom always talks to me about how important it is to read books and gain knowledge. “You have to be more than just a pretty face.” Shine admits that her mothers’ advice is wise. She continues to follow the right path and reminds herself that making her own decisions is a step towards womanhood.

Being a young woman in college comes with many distractions, so she constantly remembers her purpose and stays true to herself. She’s a young woman with dreams and a niche for fashion as well as the spotlight.

“Even though I’m currently in school to become an entertainment lawyer, I have a passion for acting and modeling.” Unlike some girls who fantasize about their passions, Shine does it !  She finds time to produce and take part in fashion shows while volunteering at the local Horizon Theatre. Clearly, Shine is on her way to success and hopefully a taste of the limelight, “ I would love to grace big screens all over America and walk red carpets, I’m so passionate about acting and modeling because those are the two things I believe I was born to do!!”
