We’re kicking of our very first issue with what’s important...YOU!! Duh !! We are tackling self-esteem and what it takes for you to become a GIRLFRIEND, comfortable in your own skin. It’s as simple as that!!  Being confident, strong and beautiful in your own way is something every girl desires. My Girlfriends and I are covering all of what it takes to be an overall chic chick that knows her stuff, from healthy relationships to healthy eating choices. The hottest nail color to social networking back to your favorite music selection, and your future career plans. I did tell you my goal was to cover it all right?

Oh btw I’m always looking for GIRLFRIENDS around the world to express their viewpoints and talents. Ladies this is about our friends, our communities, our health and our lives!! This is the only place where you can truly let you voice be heard, after all the writing style is TALKING TO YOUR GIRLFRIEND, easy right? Camille Winbush, 19

Winbush was born in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Anthony and Alice Winbush. A natural entrepreneur, Winbush opened her own bakery/ice cream shop in 2003 named "Baked Ice" located in Pasadena, California. With the help of her parents and aunt, "Baked Ice" made a profit of roughly $120,000 in its first year. The new shop opened September 2007. Winbush's hobbies are gymnastics and playing the piano.

Winbush's burgeoning list of credits include a lead role in an Artisan Entertainment film, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai with Forest Whitaker, an appearance with Arnold Schwarzenegger in Eraser and Hollywood Pictures' Dangerous Minds with Michelle Pfeiffer. In addition, she has had a recurring role on 7th Heaven and co-starring roles on "Criminal Minds", That's Life, The Norm Show, NYPD BlueAny Day Now, to name a few. She also guest starred in Disney's musical production of Geppetto. and

She got her big break playing the role of Vanessa "Nessa" Thomkins, the niece of comedian Bernie Mac on the FOX comedy The Bernie Mac Show. The series ran from 2001 to 2006. During her run on the show Winbush earned numerous award nominations for her role, winning three NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) - Leading Young Actress. In 2007, she appeared as Dr. Richard Webber's niece Camille, a cancer patient, on the ABC hit show Grey's Anatomy in the fourth season episode, The Heart of the Matter. This part had been previously played by Tessa Thompson in two episodes of the second season.

Currently, Winbush can be seen playing Lauren, a recurring character on the ABC Familyfamilydrama The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Find out not only why they stay in the headlines, but also what they are doing in their communities. From movies to music and books, G4G and The BUZZ have got it all covered. Let me not forget to mention that celebrities are not the only people that fall under the entertainment category.  G4G wants to shine some spotlight on girls who write or produce their own music, films or books! G4G is the medium through which your voices can be heard. I dare you to introduce yourselves to the world.











Genghe Carmichael

Genghe Carmichael was born in Albany California and raised in Oakland, California where she attended Oakland Technical High School. In her adolescent years she swam competitively for 9 years and ran track for 5 years. She not only stayed active physically but also, in her community as an Asthma Peer Health Educator, Health Advisory Board Leader and Lifeguard working for the City of Oakland. After having graduated high school she moved to Chicago to study Fashion Retail Management at Columbia College Chicago; with her focus on becoming an established clothes stylist and personal shopper. "If you look good you feel good." I want to help enhance people's happiness and self esteem through clothes as well as arts. It was in Chicago that she met Camille Johnson (Editor and Chief of G4G'S) and began taking part in the success of G4G's. Having been raised by
her mother who formerly worked as a mid wife and now works as a social worker, Genghe had the mindset to aid girls in a positive direction. She is happy to be apart of the G4G's staff and looks forward to helping girls like you build or maintain healthy lifestyles.
